About Us

We are a producer of locally sourced gourmet soups, bakery, and an expanding market of condiments and specialty items in the Driftless region of South Central Wisconsin.

Our menu is created with healthful ingredients with a focus on nutrition and enjoyment. As our production expands, we're planning on creating food donations to benefit charitable outreach.

Soups I Did It Again is the love-child of a pandemic honeymoon. On the back burner for six years, the closing of the School Of Architecture provided the catalyst for David to get busy and reboot his simple plan. With Bazile’s help, culinary creativity, and steadiness, we rented some off-season kitchen space and got licensed for production at the beginning of 2021.

We are growing to meet the needs of an evolving market, looking to find a niche within the richness of the local terroir.

Our synergy comes from the yin and yang of our experience and exuberance. Independently of each other, the subtle magnetism of the Midwest drew us to Madison in the 1990’s. David is a former paramedic and lifelong chef and itinerant cook, having worked throughout the SF Bay Area, Napa Valley, and many notable restaurants in Madison as well as being a warehouseman and delivery professional in all these geographies. Bazile, a native of Boulder, CO, dabbled in massage therapy and other healing arts until she arrived at a professional crossroads: culinary school or clinical social work. While she chose the latter, she taught herself to bake sourdough breads and to concoct fermented veggies. Both of us love creating meals that exude flavor, color, culture, and wellness. We enjoy travel and regional sampling of tame and exotic flavors. We want to combine our endeavor to make nutritive and wonderful foods for everyone.

As has been David’s luck; I have landed with aplomb beside some of the most gifted teachers I could ever hope for. Combined with the grail of a happiness I always felt out of reach, I arrived in the River Valley and found Bazile, my friend of two decades, and we went about forfeiting our dance-cards and creating our partnership together.
